The Pharmatech Startup Scientific Startup Incubator operates under the Faculty of Medicine of Termiz University of Economics and Service. The Regulation of the incubator was approved by the Rector of the University on 9 January 2025.

The incubator was established to support student startup initiatives, young researchers, and applied innovation projects in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and laboratory-based research. Its work is focused on helping students and young researchers develop scientific ideas into practical startup projects, prototypes, and early-stage business initiatives.

Purpose of the Incubator

The main purpose of the incubator is to support the commercialization of scientific research results and to create practical conditions for innovation-oriented projects. The incubator helps students, master’s students, doctoral researchers, young scientists, and startup teams develop their ideas from the initial research stage to practical application.

Its activities include the development of pharmaceutical and chemical products, laboratory research and testing, preparation of prototypes and experimental samples, development of business plans and project documents, support for intellectual property and commercialization, and cooperation with industry partners, investors, and relevant organizations.

Infrastructure and Available Places

During the reporting period, the incubator provided 20 places/workstations for student startup teams, young researchers, and incubator residents. These places are used for startup development, laboratory-based project work, mentoring, research commercialization, and preparation of early-stage product ideas.

Incubator residents have access to working space, furniture, computer equipment, internet connection, and relevant laboratory infrastructure. This allows them to work on research-based ideas, prepare prototypes, test early product concepts, and receive practical support from university specialists.

Incubator Residents

During the last academic year, the incubator had 20 residents in total. Of these residents, 8 were female entrepreneurs or female startup participants. Based on this data, female residents made up 40% of the total incubator membership.

The calculation is based on the following proportion: 8 female residents out of 20 total residents.

This shows that female students and young researchers were directly involved in startup and innovation activities carried out through the incubator.

Startups Supported by the Incubator

During the reporting period, the incubator supported three early-stage startup initiatives: Pharmatech Lab, BioChem Solutions, and Green Pharma.

Pharmatech Lab is focused on the development of pharmaceutical substances and laboratory research. The project received university-based support as part of the incubator’s startup development activities.

BioChem Solutions works in the area of chemical technology and laboratory analysis services. The project is supported through private-sector cooperation and incubator-based methodological assistance.

Green Pharma is related to biotechnology and pharmaceutical product development. The project received support from both the university and private-sector partners.

All three projects are at an early stage of development. The incubator monitors their progress and provides practical support in project development, documentation, mentoring, and preparation for further commercialization.

Five-Year Operational Status

The development, documentation, mentoring, and preparation for further commercialization.

Five-Year Operational Status Pharmatech Startup Scientific Startup Incubator was approved in 2025. Since the incubator and its supported startups are still in the early stage of operation, the five-year operational period has not yet been reached.

For this reason, the five-year survival status of supported companies is not yet applicable for the current reporting period. The university will continue to monitor the development and operational status of these startups in future reporting periods.

Support Provided to Startup Teams

The incubator provides practical support to students, young researchers, and startup teams. This includes access to workstations, laboratory infrastructure, mentoring, project development assistance, and support in preparing business and investment-related documents.

The incubator also assists residents in developing startup ideas, preparing prototypes, improving project documentation, participating in competitions and innovation events, and establishing cooperation with external partners.

Governance and Monitoring

The incubator operates as a university-based unit under the Faculty of Medicine. Its activities are coordinated in accordance with the approved Regulation of the Pharmatech Startup Scientific Startup Incubator and the internal procedures of Termiz University of Economics and Service.

The incubator monitors the development of supported projects and reports on its activities to the university administration in the established manner.
