Termiz University of Economics and Service consistently supports the integration of academic learning with practical professional experience. Practical training, internships and work-based learning activities are organized within relevant academic programmes in accordance with approved curricula, academic calendars and departmental practice schedules.
These activities are aimed at strengthening students’ professional competencies, improving their understanding of real workplace processes and preparing them for future employment. Students are assigned to practice bases according to the approved practice schedule, taking into account their field of study, academic level and professional training requirements.
Practice-Oriented Programme Areas
The University organizes practical training and internship activities across several practice-oriented programme areas. In the current academic year, a total of 646 students participate in structured practical training, internships and work-based learning activities.
Among them, 116 students are engaged in Industrial Practice, which focuses on logistics, trade, enterprise management, production processes and administrative practice. This training enables students to gain practical experience in organizational operations, workplace procedures and professional standards within industrial and service-sector environments.
A further 250 students participate in Medical Internships conducted in healthcare institutions and clinical practice settings. These internships provide opportunities for clinical observation, healthcare practice and supervised medical training while helping students develop professional ethics, communication skills and practical understanding of healthcare service delivery.
In addition, 280 students are involved in Practical Training in Industry, covering areas such as banking, finance, taxation, statistics, employment services and business administration. This form of training allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in real professional environments and strengthen their readiness for future careers.
Together, these activities contribute to the University's commitment to practice-oriented professional education and workforce preparation.
Industrial Practice
Industrial Practice is organized for students whose academic programmes require practical exposure to production, logistics, trade, customs, service-sector activity and enterprise management. During the practice period, students become familiar with organizational structure, documentation procedures, operational processes, workplace discipline and professional communication standards.
Students may undertake practical training at relevant regional organizations and enterprises, including:
- “Termiz” Free Economic Zone Directorate;
- Termez Cargo Centre LLC;
- Termiz International Trade Centre;
- Surxondaryo Regional Customs Department;
- Surxondaryo Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
- other enterprises and service-sector organizations operating in Termiz city and Surxondaryo region.
The main objective of Industrial Practice is to help students understand real economic activity, logistics operations, export-import procedures, enterprise administration and applied decision-making in a professional environment.
Medical Internships
Medical Internships are organized for students enrolled in medical and health-related programmes. The internship process is conducted in healthcare institutions and clinical practice bases in Surxondaryo region. It enables students to develop professional ethics, patient communication skills, teamwork, discipline and practical understanding of healthcare service delivery.
Students may complete medical internships at the following healthcare institutions:
- Surxondaryo Regional Multidisciplinary Medical Centre;
- Termiz City Medical Association;
- Termiz City Multidisciplinary Central Polyclinic;
- family polyclinics and healthcare institutions located in Termiz city and nearby districts.
Medical Internships are implemented under supervision and are designed to connect theoretical medical education with practical clinical observation and healthcare-related professional experience.
Practical Training in Industry
Practical Training in Industry is organized for students studying economics, finance, accounting, management, banking, statistics, public administration and service-related fields. This form of training allows students to apply academic knowledge in financial, administrative, statistical and business environments.
Students may complete practical training at regional institutions and organizations such as:
- Xalq Banki Termiz City Branch;
- Ipoteka Bank Surxondaryo Branch;
- Surxondaryo Regional Tax Department;
- Surxondaryo Regional Statistics Department;
- Surxondaryo Regional Department for Poverty Reduction and Employment;
- Surxondaryo Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
- accounting, finance, consulting, business and service organizations operating in Surxondaryo region.
The training process focuses on financial documentation, accounting procedures, customer service, taxation, statistical reporting, labour market analysis, institutional communication and administrative workflow.
Organization of Practical Training
Practical training is coordinated by the relevant faculties and departments of the University. Before the beginning of the practice period, students receive instructions on the purpose of the practice, expected learning outcomes, reporting requirements, workplace conduct and assessment criteria.
During the practice period, students complete assigned tasks, observe professional activities, collect practical materials and prepare final practice reports. Academic supervisors monitor the implementation of the practice process and provide methodological support to students.
